These advanced online paralegal topics build upon the nationally acclaimed Paralegal Certificate Course© and are specifically designed for those who wish to extensively build upon their knowledge of law and paralegal studies in specialized facets of contemporary law. Those who successfully complete at least six advanced topics will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.
Continuing Education Information
Those who successfully complete at least six advanced paralegal topics will be awarded an Advanced Paralegal Certificate of Completion from the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education.
You can complete a topic in one 7-week session or take up to three topics during one online session. You must complete all six topics within one year to receive certificate.
These are accelerated courses. You will be expected to spend an average of at least 8 hours per week reading and completing writing assignments per course. Please note that extensions are not granted for these advanced courses. Every assignment must be completed with at least 70% in order to pass each course.

Course Information

- Each legal topic is offered six times per year; bimonthly start dates
- Complete each topic in one 7-week session
- Take up to three topics at a time
- Must complete 6 topics within a year to earn Certificate of Completion
Course Format:
During the 7-week online course, each weekly course lesson will be released on Monday, with an assignment due on Friday of the same week. Because there is no live-online component to this course, you may access course lessons at any time and on any day which fits your schedule. During the course, you will be able to contact your instructor via e-mail and through the online course discussion board.

Prerequisite
Successful completion of the core Paralegal Certificate Course, or the equivalent, or law office experience.
