About the Program
Immerse yourself in strategic training and learning workshops for Advanced Placement educators. AP® Summer Institutes for Teachers provides modern and engaging content and enriching resources necessary to lead a successful AP® course at your school. Dive into each section of the course and better understand the exam so you best prepare your students. These intensive workshops familiarize you with subject-specific AP® standards, course content and teaching methods, and help you to develop teaching strategies that best work for you. When educators gather together, it’s always a good time! This conference is a wonderful experience to network with your peers and develop supportive working relationships through professional development.

What you’ll learn
Develop strong syllabi and lesson plans while learning new teaching strategies for your students. Engage in content rich professional learning and learn new pedagogical tools to strengthen your teaching arsenal. Develop stronger course plans that incorporate ready to use strategies. Identify student strengths and weaknesses through planning reports and examine assessment items to identify targets to reinforce specific skill sets for your students.
Who should attend?
APSI Workshops provide essential support and professional development for educators at every stage of their AP teaching journey. New AP instructors gain a comprehensive understanding of course descriptions, assessments, and planning strategies. Experienced AP teachers exploring a new subject area or adapting to curriculum changes benefit from refreshed instructional approaches that enhance student success.

Continuing Education Information

Registration Information
To register for the workshops, all participants must have an educator College Board AP Central account. You will be prompted to create or log into your account when you begin the registration process online. Administrators are not permitted to register on behalf of teachers.

The classroom course fee includes:

- AP Course and Exam Description (CED) and workshop materials

- Morning coffee & snack break and buffet lunch (Tuesday-Friday)
Please note the registration fee does not cover parking or hotel accommodations. Due to shipping deadlines, registrations or payments received after June 1 (Week 2) or June 15 (Week 3), will receive a digital copy of the AP CED.

Live-online workshops will be held via Zoom and participants will gain access to course materials in UGA’s Learning Management System.
Cancellation, Refund, and Substitution Policy
To change or cancel your registration, email gc-apsi@uga.edu or call (706) 542-3537, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm EST. If we receive your cancellation notice in writing before the deadlines listed below, you may receive a refund minus a $100 cancellation fee.
- Week 1 (June 8-12): cancel on or before May 8, 2026 at 5pm ET
- Week 2 (June 23-26): cancel on or before May 22, 2026 at 5pm ET
- Week 3 (July 7-10): cancel on or before June 5, 2026 at 5pm ET
- Week 4 (July 20-24): cancel on or before June 19, 2026 at 5pm ET
Cancellations after the deadlines listed above will not be refunded. However, school systems may substitute another teacher for a paid participant in the same course.
Most courses require a minimum enrollment of 10 participants. Courses with insufficient enrollment will be canceled on or before the following dates:
- Week 1 (June 8-12): May 25, 2026
- Week 2 (June 23-26): June 1, 2026
- Week 3 (July 7-10): June 15, 2026
- Week 4 (July 20-24): July 6, 2026
Participants will be notified by email if a course is canceled due to low enrollment, and full refunds will be processed and submitted to the individual or school who paid the registration fee. The Georgia Center will not be responsible for any charges related to travel or other personal expenses.
All accounts must be paid in full prior to the start of the APSI. APSI registrations are confirmed only after payment has been received. All payments are made directly to the University of Georgia.
