This in-person session will meet Friday, July 17, 2026, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. ET, lunch break included. It is seminar one in the High Impact Presentations Certificate series.

Continuing Education Information

Students will be awarded .80 Continuing Education Units (CEUs (Opens in a new window)) upon successfully completing the seminar. A University of Georgia Certificate of Program Completion and 2.4 CEUs will be awarded to those who successfully complete the three seminars for High Impact Presentations Certificate series.

Instructors

Isabella Martinez is the Events Coordinator for the New Media Institute and the Curator for TEDxUGA. She earned both her Master of Arts in Emerging Media and her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. As Curator for TEDxUGA, Isa has led presenter preparation efforts for 3 main stage events with 25 speakers. In her role, Isa also teaches a split-level elective course that prepares students to become stronger presenters by studying the art and science of storytelling. View LinkedIn profile. As Director of UGA’s New Media Institute, Megan Ward teaches a variety of courses for the New Media Certificate, Emerging Media Masters, Office of Student Success and Achievement, and the Graduate School. Her teaching specialty focuses on harnessing the power of presentations to engage and transform audiences. As TEDxUGA Licensee, Megan has served as the driving force behind all things TED on campus since 2013. Megan leads all organization and curation efforts for the annual TEDxUGA event each spring and also consults for TEDxJNJ.
