About this camp
Forget everything you know about making things, the world is changing fast! 3D printing is everywhere, from creating aerospace parts to medical breakthroughs. Now it’s your turn to jump in and solve real problems through engineering and innovation.
Join the College of Engineering for a week where you become the ultimate inventor! We’ll start with two immersive days, during which you will learn industry-standard design and manufacturing skills. During this intensive phase, you will master Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software, two of the powerful tools pros use to design products.
Then, the real challenge begins: a two-and-a-half-day Hackathon! Working with your team, you’ll identify a real-world need (in medicine? consumer tech?) and design a breakthrough product. You’ll use your new skills to 3D print your creation.
The week concludes with a pitch competition where you present your product, engineering plan, and business idea to the judges.
