About this camp
Passionate for the outdoors? Interested in pursuing a career in environmental sciences, ecology, conservation, or sustainability? Seems like you’re in the right place.
Through hands-on learning and field trips to the University’s campus, you’ll engage directly with professionals and experts in various natural science fields, including carnivorous plant biology, water conservation, archaeology, environmental art, horticulture, and culinary science.
But you won’t just be learning about environmental science; you’ll have a chance to practice the same techniques environmental scientists use in the field: engage in stream sampling, water quality data collection, and aquatic species identification. You’ll also learn practical applications as we plant and harvest in the Children’s Garden, make fresh salsa from the produce we harvest, create medicinal herb first aid kits, and produce environmental art.
