This high-energy, hands-on immersive experience is designed for your curious mind, whether you dream of being an engineer, an astronaut, or an architect. In this camp, you won’t sit still; instead, you will design, build, and test your own experiments to master the basics of motion, energy, and electricity.
You will launch your own Alka-Seltzer rockets and engineer constant velocity cars to dominate speed and acceleration challenges. Explore Newton’s Laws with quick experiments and discover how much power you can generate by measuring your own personal horsepower in our “Work & Power” lab! Get hands-on experience building real series and parallel circuits, creating powerful electromagnets, and lighting up the room in exciting electrical engineering challenges.
We connect the classroom to the real world! You’ll go behind the scenes on a field trip to the Athens Water Treatment Plant to see fluid dynamics in action, and meet guest experts from Georgia Power to discuss the future of nuclear energy.
