The Georgia Junior STEM Symposium is a research paper and virtual presentation competition for Georgia students enrolled in grades 9-12 who engage in research investigations in the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

The 2026 Symposium will take place virtually on Thursday, February 26. Participation is by invitation only, following the review and acceptance of applications.

To apply, students must submit a research paper, an abstract, and the Outside Assistance Disclosure Form. Applications are reviewed by a team of STEM researchers and industry professionals. 35-50 students will be invited to present their work to a panel of judges at the virtual Symposium.

All presenters will receive a certificate acknowledging their achievement, and the top presenters will receive cash awards and may also qualify for additional honors.
