About this course
Learning objectives
- This course covers the analysis of instructional needs and systematic principles of design.
- Students learn about the most widely accepted instructional design model, known as ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation).
- Students explore fundamental learning theories and the ways instructional designers apply these theories to content using the ADDIE framework.

Continuing Education Information
Successful graduates of Introduction to Instructional Design and Development will earn 3.0 CEUs (Opens in a new window) for 30 contact hours.
Requirements & policies
Cancellation or refund
We will issue a refund, minus a $75 processing fee, for cancellations made at least five (5) days before the course start date, if you have not accessed the online course. No refunds for cancellations after that date. If the program is canceled by the Georgia Center, we will refund the total enrollment fee. All cancellation and refund requests must be sent via email to gc-student@uga.edu.

Technology
Students must have access to a desktop or laptop computer running Windows 10 or higher. Mac users are required to run Windows 10 or higher on Parallels. This program uses Articulate Storyline 360 (Opens in a new window), Adobe Photoshop (Opens in a new window), and Vyond (Opens in a new window). Students are solely responsible for obtaining and installing the software, including any associated fees. The instructor may approve the use of alternative software at their discretion.
