Mission Statement: The Georgia Science and Engineering Fair (GSEF) is dedicated to encouraging all Georgia's teachers and school districts to include active science and engineering research into their classrooms in order to help students 1) develop a love for science and 2) learn to isolate important problems and to attack and solve these problems within the framework of organized, logical thought, careful research, and a detailed analysis of facts, and 3) showcase and celebrate their achievements.
The Georgia Science and Engineering Fair (GSEF) is the state's ultimate venue for displaying the science and engineering research of Georgia's middle- and high-school students.
Photos from GSEF 2013 are available at Georgia Snaps (select "Proofing" and "65th Georgia Science and Engineering Fair").
The official tee shirt of the 65th Georgia Science and Engineering Fair is now available for purchase online.
An invitation to compete at the Fair culminates a string of achievements. Every school in the state is encouraged to provide or join a local science fair at which students can share their research skills. Meritorious projects from local fairs can then be invited to exhibit at one of the 21 Regional Fairs held throughout the state in January and February. Of the Regional Fair winners, only the best will be invited to compete in the GSEF in Athens. A select few will advance to the International Science and Engineering Fair – see video of 2012 Intel ISEF.
