About this course
Learning objectives
After successfully completing this course, you should be able to:
- Explore the latest changes in the federal and state requirements for land-disturbing activities.
- Explain the requirements of the Georgia Erosion and Sedimentation Act (GESA), National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and Erosion Sedimentation & Pollution Control (ES&PC) Plan for land-disturbing activities.
- Describe the responsibilities of all parties involved (permits, design professionals, state agencies and federal agencies).
Who should attend?
This course was specifically created for individuals currently holding mandated certification in GSWCC “Level II — Introduction to Design.” Design Professionals, Plan Reviewers, Engineers, and Landscape Architects can greatly benefit from the course. Available to Georgia residents and out-of-state participants conducting business in Georgia.
Continuing Education Information
Recertification Online Course for Level II: Introduction to Design meets the criteria for a Level II continuing education course for the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission and is approved for 4 hours of instruction. The University of Georgia awards 0.4 Continuing Education Units (CEU) after completion of the course.

Fees & funding information
$129 (per person) — Residents of the State of Georgia
$149 (per person) — All Others
If you cannot complete the course within the allotted time, you may file for a one-month extension for $50.
Cancellation or refund
The Georgia Center issues a full refund if you cancel before we send course access information. The refund is less a $50 administrative fee if you cancel after we send your access information, provided that you have not accessed the course.
