You’ll explore how a familiar American play can be transformed into something fresh, personal, and meaningful to your life. Starting with short, flexible scenes, you’ll break into groups to create your own updated versions. This means you can change the setting, the tone, or even rewrite the characters entirely!
We’ll make the basics of acting, staging, and storytelling accessible and fun. Through hands-on workshops, you’ll develop essential skills like voice projection, character development, and scene analysis. Learn the secrets of the trade—tips and tricks for creating polished scenes that truly captivate an audience. Plus, ensemble-building activities bring out the best in collaborative creativity. The week wraps up with you rehearsing and sharing a short performance of your adapted scene in a relaxed showcase.
