About this camp
If you’re passionate about the outdoors and serious about a future in environmental stewardship, this is where your journey begins. The Natural Resources Academy brings together the UGA Center for Continuing Education, UGA Tifton, the Georgia South Region Agricultural Education program, and South Georgia State College to offer you a one-of-a-kind, hands-on week unlike anything you’ll find in a classroom.
Alongside a cohort of just 20 students, you’ll get a rigorous, hands-on introduction to the complexities of forest mensuration, prescribed fire ecology, wildlife management, and aquatic health assessment. Go beyond the textbook, build real field skills, and set yourself apart within the next generation of conservation leaders — all while exploring a career protecting Georgia’s outdoors.
