About this course
What you’ll learn
In this online medical assistant training program, you will develop the skills to become a versatile and valued healthcare team member. You will learn medical terminology, medical law and ethics, HIPAA rules, scheduling, and essential front and back office skills such as taking vital signs, assisting with exams, performing lab tests, administering injections, obtaining blood specimens, registering patients, and managing phone calls. Upon completion, you will be prepared to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). A voucher covering the certification exam fee is included with your enrollment.

Certification & Voucher Information
Course fee includes a voucher for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam offered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). The voucher is prepaid access to sit for the exam upon eligibility. To be eligible to take the exam, candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to prepare for the CCMA national certification exam offered by the NHA. However, requirements for Certified Clinical Medical Assistants may vary by state.
