Join the True to the Dream Academy for a thrilling week of real-world investigation right here at UGA! This isn’t just science class; it’s your first mission as a Microbe Detective.
We’re throwing you straight into a simulated food-borne illness outbreak. You’ll have to team up to hit the lab, where you’ll safely grow and identify microbes using actual lab gear. You’ll hunt for clues by analyzing bacterial data and tracking how germs spread. Then, you’ll discover the secrets of food safety that real public health pros use every day. Finally, you’ll use your evidence and critical thinking to pinpoint the source and present your findings at our “CSI: Microbe Edition” Science Expo!
