This session will help staff learn more about the eight PSO units and UGA Extension, understand the full range of PSO expertise, and see how units working together can make a positive impact on individuals, families, businesses, and communities across Georgia. The session will start with a short overview of the eight PSO units and UGA Extension. Then, participants will work in small groups on scenarios that follow one person’s path through business ownership, community leadership, and long-term civic engagement. During the activity, participants will think about how PSO resources can support people across Georgia at different stages and in different situations. Each group will identify which units might be involved, talk about how those resources connect, and share their ideas with the rest of the room.
Learning outcomes:
- Understand how each PSO unit supports the overall mission
- Build awareness of work across PSO units
- Understand how PSO helps individuals, families, businesses, and communities in Georgia
