Digital accessibility means designing websites, documents, and other digital content to provide equal access, regardless of ability or circumstance. This includes all documents, including PowerPoint (PPT), Word, and PDF files, that are shared outside of UGA via email or other means. The university is required to comply with federal accessibility requirements by April 2027. This session will teach you how to update and create accessible and well-designed PPT presentations. Please bring a laptop if you want to practice with your own PPT.
Learning outcomes:
- Learn what digital accessibility is and why it is important
- Utilize templates to maintain branding, accessibility, and have well-designed slides
- Fix your existing PPT to meet accessibility standards
- Access PSO and UGA digital accessibility resources
