LinkedIn and UGA: Promoting Your Programing Effectively

Professional Development Session 2

Want to get more eyes on your upcoming events and initiatives, but not sure where to start on social media? You don’t need to be a marketing expert to build a powerful presence on LinkedIn. This hands-on professional development session will show you how to use LinkedIn strategically to boost community engagement and promote your programs. We will break down the science of what makes a post successful, how to navigate the platform’s features, and how to collaborate with partners to amplify your reach. Best of all, these strategies are designed for busy staff to apply immediately.

Learning outcomes:

  1. Gain an understanding of what program content performs well, learn when and why to post
  2. Create posts that highlight program value and resonate with audiences
  3. Learn about LinkedIn features (tagging, hashtags, carousels) that maximize reach and engagement
  4. Coordinate post engagement with partners and within our own community to build meaningful visibility
