Participants will explore real-world examples of AI applications for meeting support, communications, documentation, onboarding, reporting, and event planning while learning best practices for responsible and ethical use. Whether you’re new to AI or already experimenting with it, you’ll leave with actionable ideas you can immediately apply in your role.

Rebecca Callis Mixson, Area Director, Augusta, Small Business Development Center

Mixson is the Area Director at the UGA SBDC Augusta office and has been part of the team since 2014. Before joining the SBDC, she spent years in education as a middle school math teacher, assistant principal, and elementary school administrator. She owned and operated a successful retail business during that same time. She is still an active owner in ag business, overseeing the operation of the family farm. These days, she works one-on-one with business owners, helping them with everything from marketing and staffing to strategic planning and understanding financials. She also helps shape programs that support small business growth across Georgia. She is AI University certified in leveraging AI for SBDC consultants and business.
