Participants will learn why career goal-setting is essential, how to create SMART career goals, and how to recognize the skills, experiences, and learning opportunities needed to advance. The session also introduces key UGA tools and resources, such as TAP and LinkedIn Learning, that can help staff build skills and support long-term career growth.

- Understand the importance of setting career goals and how goals provide direction and purpose for professional development
- Create SMART career goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-based
- Recognize skills, experiences, and resources needed to achieve career objectives, including training and learning opportunities
