Butts Mehre Heritage Hall Sports Museum Tour

Relive the greatest moments in Georgia sports history, recall favorite UGA athletes, see Herschel Walker’s Heisman Trophy award and other memorabilia, and keep abreast of current happenings in Bulldog athletics. All Georgia’s sports teams are celebrated in this museum. Wear comfortable shoes.

Coverdell Tour

The Paul D. Coverdell Center for Biomedical and Health Sciences houses a dynamic, interactive mix of scientific research-based facilities. This tour will highlight the Bio-Imaging Research Center (BIRC), which is a multi-imaging research suite, and the Biomedical Microscopy Core (BMC), which provides access to optical microscope systems that are useful for multi-color imaging of live and fixed cells. Founders Memorial Garden Tour

Located on North Campus, the garden serves as a vibrant and versatile space that enriches the UGA campus and wider Athens community. Managed by the UGA College of Environment and Design, this historic garden is an active teaching environment for students who study its diverse plant collections, historic layout and unique garden features. Visitors of all ages — from school groups learning about native plants to garden enthusiasts exploring Southern horticulture — find the garden to be an engaging experience. Shuttle provided.

Green Roof Garden Tour

Did you know that UGA has a 3,000-square-foot garden on the roof of the Geography/Geology building? Since 2007, professors, students and volunteers have planted and maintained this flourishing fruit, vegetable and native plant garden. The Green Roof Garden donates its produce to Campus Kitchen at UGA to help Athens families in need, as well as to the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia and other institutions working to address food insecurity. Georgia Center Culinary Experience

Join the Georgia Center culinary team in the Savannah Room Atrium for a cooking demonstration and tasting, with the menu to be selected soon.

Georgia Museum of Art Tour

Experience UGA’s campus museum and Georgia’s official state museum of art that features more than 19,000 works in its permanent collection and a range of exciting special exhibitions. Shuttle provided.

Latin American Ethnobotanical Garden Tour

The garden was initially constructed to research the horticultural requirements of medicinal plants used by the Tzotzil and Tzeltal Maya of highland Chiapas, Mexico, and to focus attention on the need for the conservation of plant biodiversity and traditional plant knowledge. It has since expanded to include some 150 culturally important plants found throughout Latin America and the Caribbean and serves as a resource for instruction, community outreach, and research. Live Insect Zoo Tour

Ready for this hands-on experience with live insects? Participants will view over 30 species of insects and arachnids from around the world, including Philippine leaf insects, Himalayan hissing cockroaches, and an African Millipede. Wear comfortable shoes.

Manufacturing Living Labs Tour

Did someone say Robot Dawgs? Located in the Interdisciplinary STEM Building, the labs take you inside the future of manufacturing. Explore the Price Industries Innovation Factory, where students and industry partners collaborate on cutting-edge projects featuring AI-powered manufacturing, then learn about the Robot Dawgs, humanoid robots, and interactive learning technologies used across Georgia. Then visit the MODEL Lab to see how researchers apply advanced manufacturing solutions to real-world agricultural challenges. Shuttle provided.

Ramsey Student Center Tour

Join us as we tour one of the largest student recreation facilities in the country that also is open to all UGA employees. The space includes an Olympic-sized pool, 44-foot climbing wall, indoor track, basketball and racquetball courts, and top-tier strength and conditioning spaces. Employees can join a fitness class, try a new sport, or take part in one of the outdoor adventure programs. Wear comfortable shoes to catch the bus.
